Dear Readers,

I  have below a VERY URGENT petition from The American Center of Law and Justice for a Christian wife and mom in Pakistani who has been on Death Row 6 years  for  speaking of her faith in Jesus.  That death sentence and mandatory hanging could be overturned, but your signature(and prayers) will make that difference.

Will you please sign, pass along as you feel lead and PRAY?   Lord's Blessings on your week!

Grace,
A Christian mother's mandatory death penalty could be overturned.
Asia Bibi was convicted of blasphemy and sentenced to execution by hanging.

Sign the Petition Now
She has been languishing on death row nearly 6 years - separated from her husband and five kids all because of her Christian faith. Now, after more than 2,100 excruciating days, Pakistan's Supreme Court has just granted her an early review of her final appeal.
This is a monumental moment in her case. In just weeks, the court could release her or have her hanged. She would be the first woman executed under Pakistan's brutal blasphemy law.
We've been aggressively advocating for her freedom for years - including through our office on the ground in Pakistan. But now is the time for urgent action.
We're stepping up our vigorous legal advocacy campaign across the globe for her freedom. It is imperative that each of you be heard.
Don't let them execute Christian mom Asia Bibi.

World News: Genocide of Chrisitans Overseas!

Dear Readers,
I have always said that to know what is truly going on around the world is hard and even unbelievable. Yet looking a the state of our world, horrendous evil is very possible.  Scroll down for news from overseas regarding Christians in Iran and what The American Center for Law and Justice is doing to help and you can help: http://aclj.org/?utm_expid=7567081-18.r6St7NZpR-mpee4XQNRcZw.0

Grace,
Christians are on the brink of extermination - crucified and tortured.
In 24 hours, we're taking major legal action in court to defend them.
ISIS (the Islamic State) is systematically slaughtering Christians in the most barbaric calamity - genocide. 82% of Iraqi Christians have fled or been massacred. 66% of Syrian Christians devastated.
After first recognizing the "genocide against Christians," the Obama Administration has refused to act. Yet it's our legal obligation to act.
We're expanding our largest legal advocacy effort to defend dying Christians. We're preparing to send a critical letter to put the presidential candidates on record.
Tomorrow we're taking the most significant legal action to protect dying Christians. We're filing a federal lawsuit over the Administration's failure to fulfill its obligations. It could force action to 1) stop the Genocide and 2) protect Christians.
We can't continue this vital work without your support. Have your tax-deductible gift doubled before our looming Matching Challenge deadline in 2 days. We're significantly short of our goal.
Chip in $5 or more to defend dying Christians now.
Double Your Impact: $5 Becomes $10. $20 Becomes $40.

Devot. Measuring for Growth

Dear Friends,
I hope you had a good weekend!  As I stated last week, I want to start a series on growing in our everyday walk with Jesus.

When I say 'spiritual growth' what I mean is are we still the same person we were before we received Jesus into our life?  Do we know the same amount of the Bible as we did before?  Do we pray the same amount as previously?
Or have folks noticed that there is a difference, a good one!, in our lives?   Has God changed us more into Himself more the inside out?  Do we like to read our Bibles and learn new things about His Word, do we pray whenever we feel a need for ourselves or someone else?

Or has receiving Jesus just meant a free ticket to Heaven, an escape from hell and that's it?

Practical example: When you take an infant or child into the drs. they have a scale by which they measure their growth by.  Usually drs. become quite concerned if that child is not on track for normal growth, or is not growing.   This applies to us as well.

The Bible calls new Christians, "Babes in Christ."   As we will see in later devots. we must not stay at this stage, but grow to be spiritually mature Christians.

I will look forward  to sharing practical devots. on how to grow in everyday life, and what can hinder growth.
This devot. below gives a 'growth chart' to see if and how we have grown since receiving Jesus as our Rescuer.
As an added note, if you have never received Jesus as you personal Saviour/Rescuer,  Only Means of getting to Heaven, please look at the Are You Sure tab on the Home page.

Lord bless you and yours this week!

Devot. Growth in Grace

Hi Folks,
I am very excited to start doing some devots on spiritually growing in our everyday walking with Jesus.   I have found some neat devots. and can't wait to share!

Please pray for wisdom for me as I choose devots. and plan them out.

The devot. for today is about growth.  New Christians are called "Babes In Christ" and those who are Christians, but you can't tell a difference in their lives, are called "carnal Christians" in Scripture.

I really loved this devot. and I pray it blesses you too!  Lord bless and keep you and yours this weekend.

Devot. Stunted Growth in Carnal Christians

Dear Friends,
I hope you had a good start to you week!  This is a devot. that I found sometime ago and have been anxious to send.  It's about our every walk, how we live with the Lord in our lives everyday.
Do we have a personal everyday relationship where we talk to God at random, ask for His opinion or wisdom on daily matters, enjoy reading the Bible, learning, praying?
Has there been an inside to outside difference since we have trusted Jesus?  Or is it that we just asked Jesus into our lives as our way to Heaven and that's it -we the same as we were before?  We have not grown spiritually since receiving Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: (new creation upon receiving Jesus as Savior) old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
This devot. asks us to examine our hearts and lives in the light of having received Jesus.
I look forward to sharing more devots. of this nature
so we can all grow more!  Lord bless you and yours this week!

Stunted Growth in Carnal Christians
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” (1 Corinthians 3:1-2)

The apostle Paul here makes a clear distinction between “spiritual” Christians, controlled and led by the Holy Spirit, and “carnal” Christians, still controlled by the desires of the flesh. A carnal Christian is a baby Christian. Baby Christians are a cause of great rejoicing when they are newborn believers, just like baby people. But if they remain babies indefinitely, they become an annoyance to hear and a tragedy to behold.

Each born-again believer needs urgently to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). That spiritual growth comes only through study of the Word, accompanied by belief and obedience. First there must be “the sincere [or ‘logical’] milk of the word” (1 Peter 2:2), but that is good only for the first stages of growth. “For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:13-14). Scripture encourages us to grow to maturity and then to continue growing.

Carnal Christians are not necessarily pseudo-Christians, although they should examine themselves to determine whether their profession of faith in Christ is genuine (2 Corinthians 13:5), but they should not be content to remain spiritual babes. Every Christian should be able to say with the prophet Jeremiah: “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts” (Jeremiah 15:16). Devot. God's Kingdom

Hi Folks,
I hope you had a super day!

Pro-Life Declaration!

Dear Fellow American,
Despite the recent news affecting the protection of innocent preborn humans, we must continue to press forward in our efforts to rescue children and serve families, leading to the end of abortion in America in our lifetime.

This recent turn of events should not mean "business as usual" for abortion providers. We are becoming increasingly aware of abortionists' lack of regard for human life, whether it's the life of the preborn child or the mother. And public opinion is shifting as the truth comes to light.
We believe it's time to unite around the foundational truths that define what it means to be pro-life.
That's why the leaders of the pro-life movement wrote the The Pro-Life Declaration -- and hundreds of thousands of people have signed it. In four simple statements, the Declaration articulates the basics of the pro-life position void of any exemptions or excuses.
So far, about 340,700 people have signed their names to make their their voices heard for the cause of LIFE, and we invite you to do the same. It's time for all pro-life individuals to unite under the banner of the sacredness of human life.
Will you join us? Take a moment right now and sign The Pro-Life Declaration.

Add your name now! »

Thank you for making your voice heard.
Until abortion ends,
Brian Fisher, Online for Life
P.S. Our hope should not be placed in the court system but in the King of kings. And He continues to guide Human Coalition, as more of His precious image bearers and their families are rescued from abortion-one baby at a time!

Devot. His Kingdom is Forever

Hi Folks,
I hope you had a good day and start to your week!
The devot. is self explanatory and was also an encouragement to me!
I pray the Lord uses it to uplift you as well.  Lord bless/keep you and yours this week!
(Devot. Used by permission.  Taken from http://www.icr.org/)

His Kingdom Is Forever
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

The final verse of “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” describes our tools and comportment while in the battle, and the final victory.That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours thro’ Him who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill:
God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.

As the King’s soldiers, we have God-given abilities and possessions, most notably the indwelling God’s Spirit and empowering gifts. “If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his” (Romans 8:9). “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:4). We should “fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul” (Matthew 10:28) and focus on Him, “denying ungodliness and worldly lusts”—even goods and kindred (Luke 9:60-62), if need be. “We should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:12-13).

As of yet the battle continues. “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:21), “and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). JDM

Petition: Christian on Death Row in Pakistan!

Dear Reader,
This is a story and petition about a Believing Lady in Pakistan who is on death row for her faith in Jesus.   Her case is just as desperate as Pastor Saeed Abendini, who was freed from Iran earlier this year.
PLEASE sign the petition in support of her freedom from prison!  Hebrews 13:3 says regarding
Christians supporting fellow Christians who are in jail, "Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."

We are to remember those Believers who are suffering in jail for their faith, support/stand by them, pray for them and petition on their behalf.

Please sign below, PASS IT ON and Lord bless you for it!

Grace,
A Pakistani Christian woman still faces death by hanging for her faith.
Today, Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of five, has been on death row an astonishing 2,100 days - nearly 6 years.
She was falsely accused of "blasphemy" - speaking against the prophet Muhammad - convicted on trumped-up charges, and sentenced to be hung for her Christian faith.

Sign the Petition Now
For years, we have been aggressively advocating across the globe for her freedom - mobilizing our international offices, including in Pakistan, as we elevate her case and demand her release.
Then, one year ago, because you spoke out, Pakistan's Supreme Court agreed to hear her case and temporarily suspended her sentence.
But a year later, there's still no resolution - a death sentence hanging over her head for 2,100 days. We must be heard again.
Over 355,000 people have spoken out for this Christian mom as she faces execution by hanging. Will you?

Devot. Greater Is He

Hi Folks,
I hope your week was a blessing!

The devot. for the weekend echoes Tuesday devot.  God is greater than satan's evilness and schemes in this world.  God is in control, He knows each of His children (those who have trusted Jesus-Galatians 3:26) by name and He is God and greater than anything around us.

I pray this devot. encourages your heart this weekend!

Devot. His Doom is Sure

Dear Friends,
I hope you have had a good start to your week!  This week is the 3rd verse in "A Mighty Fortress is Our God."   It is a reminder that Satan will have his 'day in court.'  As an old pastor of mine used to say, "We have read the end of the Book (Bible) and we know who wins! (God)"
The devot. does a good job of explaining some important Bible truths, details to us while offering encouragement.
Pray it encourages you this week!

 July 13, 2016
His Doom Is Sure
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44)

The third verse of “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” focuses on Satan’s end. God has willed triumph through His truth.
And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear; for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim—we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
When Satan was cast from heaven, fully a third of the angels fell with him (Revelation 12:4), such that a “legion” of them could inhabit one individual (Mark 5:9). But God has other plans for His children. He desires “to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they might receive forgiveness of sins” (Acts 26:18). He desires us to “resist the devil” (James 4:7) and not “give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27).

He also has plans for Satan, including “everlasting chains under darkness” (Jude 1:6), and “everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41). Just one word and Satan will be “cast into the lake of fire and . . . tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Jesus, anticipating His execution, spoke of it triumphantly. This had been His Father’s will all along. “Now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” (John 12:31-32), and now the battle is His. JDM
