Devot. Going Forth to Work

Dear Friends,
I hope you have had a good, long weekend with family and friends!
I know that while some of you may not be wanting to head back into work, I wanted to send you a devot. with the history of Labor Day and also the Biblical basis for a good, work ethic, something I see sadly lacking in our world today.
It is an honorable thing to put in a good day's labor, and receive the benefits of it in a sense of accomplishment as well as well deserved pay.
Ecclesiastics 9:10 says, "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
And Colossians 3:23-24 states, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."
Doing your job in a way that glorifies the Lord may help you to have a better perspective as you enter into your work week:)
I hope you learn something new from the devot. and you and your family have a blessed and safe week! Devot. http://www.icr.org/article/17889  (Used by permission.  Taken from http://www.icr.org/)
