Devot. 7 Ways that Christ is Our Hiding Place

Dear Friends,
I hope you are having a super week!  The devot. for today is a continuation of our devot. from Tues-Christ as our Hiding Place.
A hiding place can be mean different things for different people-a building or location where they feel safe, burying themselves in a good, clean book to escape worry, taking a long drive, turning on your favorite music, calling someone who has always been there to listen.
But what do we do if those resources aren't readily available at the moment we need them?  Do we panic and stress out, or go to One who has promised that "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."  (Heb. 13:5)
Proverbs 18:10 says, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."  The name of Jesus is a refuge and place of safety.  By calling on Him when we are in distress and trouble, He comes to our aid.

I have heard many amazing, true stories of folks who were in danger, robbery for instance, and they called out "Jesus!" Those men dropped what they had been trying to take and ran.  Our one steady, never changing source of protection and strength can only be found in Jesus and a personal relationship with Him.
I've always heard preachers say that God is only a phone call away.  His line is always open.  He is never too busy to listen to you and is always available.  You will never get a 'busy signal.'  Of course I'm talking about prayer-speaking to God respectfully, but from your heart as you would a dear, trusted friend, which is what He should be if you have trusted Him.  ("there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."  Prov. 18:24-reference is to Christ)
I have a Bible Promise Book-a book with verses from the Bible that are categorized topically.  One of my favorite is the first part of Isa. 58:9, "Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am."   When I am in need of a safe haven, a place of rest, Jesus is the One I can run to.
You know, it's amazing how God always provides.  I was thinking on Tues. , 'Where Am I going to find another devot. w/ this topic?" As I searching Tuesday for a Scripture verse,  this was on the list google pulled up.  I felt God want me to send this to you, so I pray I pray the devot. below would encourage and strengthen you.  Lord bless you and your family this weekend with His peace and safety!
